Turn any text into its reflection. This mirror text generator gives you mirrored letters, reversed text and backwards words.
Leonardo da Vinci filled his notebooks with right to left mirror script, and you can still see the same trick on the front of ambulances, where the word is printed backwards so drivers read it correctly in their rear view mirror. A mirror text generator gives you that reflected look in text you can paste anywhere.
Online, mirrored text is mostly for fun: secret messages, puzzle clues, and usernames nobody else has.
| Style | "Hello World" becomes | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Mirror / Reverse | bloɿW ollɘH | Flips each letter and reverses the order. A true reflection. |
| Mirrored Letters | Hɘllo Woɿlb | Flips each letter but keeps the order. |
| Reversed Text | dlroW olleH | Same letters, last to first. |
| Reversed Word Order | World Hello | Words swap places, letters stay normal. |
| Upside Down | plɹoM ollǝH | Rotated 180 degrees instead of reflected. |
If you want text that reads correctly when someone holds their screen up to a real mirror, use the first one.
There's no mirrored alphabet in Unicode. The generator swaps in lookalikes from other writing systems instead. R becomes Я (a Cyrillic letter), E becomes Ǝ, lowercase e becomes ɘ and s becomes ƨ.
About a third of the alphabet needs no swap at all. A, H, I, M, O, T, U, V, W, X and Y are symmetrical, so they look the same in a mirror. Words built mostly from those letters, like "WOW" or "MOM", come out nearly identical.
A few letters such as b, d, p and q simply swap with each other. That's why "bed" in the Mirrored Letters style reads as "dɘb".
For text turned top to bottom, use the upside down text generator. To make a reversed message look corrupted, run it through the glitch text generator, or shrink it with the small text generator.
